Living in Centerton, Arkansas

Centerton sits just west of Bentonville and has become the fastest-growing city in Arkansas. Families come for new neighborhoods, Bentonville schools and a short commute to the Walmart Home Office, while the town keeps a quieter, small-town pace.
Arkansas’s fastest-growing city
Centerton had about 12,180 residents in 2015, according to the Census Bureau. The 2020 census counted 17,792, and the 2025 estimate is 27,176, more than double the 2015 number. Census estimates have ranked Centerton among the fastest-growing cities in the entire country.
| Year | Population | |
|---|---|---|
| 2010 (census) | 9,515 | |
| 2015 (estimate) | 12,180 | |
| 2020 (census) | 17,792 | |
| 2025 (estimate) | 27,176 |
Most of that growth is new single-family construction, so buyers will find plenty of newer homes and neighborhoods still being built.
